3 typefaces (each having 4 fonts) for Hindi

Office 2000 had 'Mangal' as the standard Unicode/OpenType font for Hindi users.

In Office XP users may also use 3 new typefaces (which are being licensed from nationally reputed vendors).

Each of these typefaces will be available as standard OpenType/Unicode typefaces. Users will be able to simply copy them into their Fonts folders and then access them from within any application. Any text created in Mangal will be readily and accurately convertible to these typefaces (akin to typing in Times Roman and converting to Arial).

Remington Typewriter keyboard for Hindi

Along with the Inscript keyboard that comes as a default with Office XP, we are also providing the popular Remington Typewriter keyboard. This keyboard will sit atop our Uniscribe algorithm so that users even while entering data through the Remington keyboard, will have all the conjunct/half-char/auto-correct facilities available. The Remington keyboard is available as an independent exe, which once run, will install an icon in your task bar, through which the keyboard will be invoked.

Transliteration IME for Hindi

A number of users would like to enter text in English through a standard QWERTY keyboard and have that text be automatically converted to Hindi. This facility is being provided through a special Hindi Transliteration IME that you will be able to use in any Office application.

The IME keyboard will be available as an independent exe, which once run, will install an icon in your task bar, through which the keyboard will be invoked.
