BhashaIndia at CIT Ahmedabad
“Harnessing CIT for Enterprise & Socio-Economic Development” was the theme of the annual Communication and Information Technology (CIT) event held from the 4th till the 6th of February 2005 at Ahmedabad. This conference cum exhibition was a joint initiative by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Gujarat, Gujarat Informatics Ltd. and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The exhibition was held at the Sanskar Kendra Grounds, Paldi while the venue of the conference was the Tagore Hall at Paladi. Chief Minister of Gujarat Narender Modi inaugurated the event. The event was an opportunity for companies in the IT and Communication sector to showcase, promote their products, services and technologies.
Microsoft participated in the event with localization being its main theme. BhashaIndia, and Microsoft Office 2003 Gujarati were showcased at the event. Live demonstrations of the Gujarati Office suite, on the spot registration of BhashaIndia portal and an online quiz on the portal were the highlights of the activities that were held at the Microsoft hall.
