Translation memory & terminology tool
Trados Inc, a leader in global information solutions, has introduced Trados 7, the latest version of its successful Trados desktop solutions for freelance translation professionals, corporate localization teams and language service providers.

The new solution enables users to complete projects faster, increase profitability and earn more business, Trados has said.

The various features of the solution include complete XML open standards support, greater compatibility and enhanced TMX compliance, according to the company.

Trados 7 supports Hindi and twenty other new languages spoken in emerging markets such as India and is compatible with the Unicode language, Trados has said.

Microsoft Word documents can now optionally be processed as XML-based TradosTag documents in Context TM and optionally translated in TagEditor as XML-based TradosTag documents, according to the company.

When used with the upcoming MultiTerm 7, Translator's Workbench can now search through multiple termbases and display recognized terms, the company has said

Including improvements to user experience for frequent activities such as AutoText to store frequently used expressions, change case for rapid capitalization of text and better performance for large documents are the other features of the new solution, Trados has said.
